30 Weeks

Here I am at 30 weeks

He has been kicking and rolling around like crazy! It's amazing to watch my stomach move around - he tends to really move during church. Which is really funny since the kids are looking at my like I have an alien inside me. lol I think I've hit the no sleep stage now...blah!

Michael and I are watching a lamaze video - really it's just something that talks about the stages of labor and such. We watched the labor part last night... I'm so on the fence about the epidural. I want to try it without though - I'm definitely leaning toward no epidural. So the plan is to go and see what I can take and if it's too much then I'll get one. I'm sure I'll know within the first hour of major contractions. I'm starting to get a little nervous for sure. So I'll talk about happy things now with some of the fun pictures I added...

Reagan fell asleep with her bone in her mouth. lol

This is one of the balloons from the shower - I love the whale!

This is one of my favorite gifts from the shower - it's the cutest and softest baby mat ever!

And now for the most thoughtful, wonderful, perfect, and creative gift I think I have ever received... Gryffindor Bear! Thank you Megan for the best thing EVER! I love him so much I just want to carry it around with me and show people... of course then they would see how weird I am.

I bought this owl hat on Etsy - I couldn't pass it up. I was between a cute puppy hat and this one - the owl won because I love the colors!

In the Mountains - Week 28 & 29

We had to say good-bye to Kris this past week - it was sad and tearful. His last couple of days we rented a cabin in Blue Ridge which was amazing - the cabin was beautiful, the mountains were gorgeous, and we all had a great time together. It was a great way to spend his last days before he went off to basic. I hate not being able to talk to him and not having any idea what s going on in this new chapter of his life but I know this is what he really wanted so that makes it a lot easier. I can't image sending a brother to actual war... it's dreadful to even think about.

After about a million shots like this...

I finally got a good picture of the boys.

I didn't get a side shot but there I am at 28 weeks

Week 29

I cannot believe how fast my belly is growing. I wake up in the morning and I swear it's bigger than the night before. Jackson is moving like crazy all the time - I can feel a rolling feeling in my belly pretty much every hour or two. Time is really flying - we are almost done with August - WOW! I'm ready for fall though - it's time for a little cooler weather. Jackson can wait a little - I still need to finish organizing his closet and find space in the kitchen for all those new bottles he got at the baby shower. I know that is exactly what he wanted :) The girls at church thew a baby shower for me - it was wonderful and bonus - I don't have to return a single thing!

Two days until week 30 - holy cow!

Week 27 & a Photo Shoot

Our dear friend Sabrena came down for a visit on Friday - she was our engagement, wedding, and one year anniversary photographer. Over the past couple years she has become so much more than our photographer she has become a great friend. She came to Mindy's and we took some pictures (I mean she has taken our picture on every big event so far, how could she not capture this time in our lives), Sabrena and I went out on the jet ski for a while, we boated, floated, and had a great turkey dinner. I would say it was a superb day :) I can never get over how gifted she is at snapping such beautiful pictures.

Baby happenings: Jackson is moving around like crazy - I'm actually able to feel his feet when he is making space in there :) Although he has taken to kicking me in the ribs and sometimes I feel like maybe he is hitting a organ or something! Ouch! Mom, Dad, Kris, and Garrett all got to feel him move - I'm happy Kris got to feel him before he leaves for Basic next week.

Michael is able to hear his heartbeat when he puts his ear to my tummy - which of course always results in my getting kicked or punched in the face. I cannot imagine a more caring and protective husband than Michael - he has been so wonderful during this pregnancy. I know he feels helpless at times when I'm feeling sick and these is just nothing he can do but he is always trying to help me feel better. He is so sweet - I'm so lucky to have him.

The girls at church are throwing me a baby shower - I'm so excited and blessed to have such good friends here at Avalon. We are so blessed by all the great friends we have made here - God put us in the perfect spot just like we knew he would. :)
